Radio System

Present days there are many ways such as GSM, internet or traditional telephone to repeat remote signals. However, we are dedicated to long-range radio networks.

The question is Why?

Monitoring systems transmit high priority emergency (medical alarms) and security (burglary, fire alarm) signals. It is crucial to transmit these signal to the receiver even in case of catastrophe. In addition, it is significant to prevent intentional sabotage. In civil communication systems there is no such purpose. Considering the above law forces use Tetra radio systems which are independent from the civil networks.

Main features that make Diracom system capable to monitor emergency, fire alarm and security systems of all size:

  • Unique, independent radio channel, no need to share the frequency with other systems and services. Transmissivity not compromised by external effects (e.g. rush hour for GSM, temporarily overloaded cell in public happenings)
  • Sabotage proof since the endpoints are radio transmitters there is no possible jamming by external jammer (GSM can be easily compromised, traditional telephony system can be disabled by cutting the line)
  • Multiple transmission route. Unlimited number of repeaters in Diracom systems. Using adequate redundancy the system still can be used even if more repeaters broke down. Advanced radio protocol to transmit messages using the shortest route with the less repeaters.

  • Fast message forwarding, no call switching as in traditional telephone networks (PSTN).
  • Each system unit (from the source to the receiver) has 24-hour (48-hour mostly) battery backup, independent from the electrical network (The internet is fully electrical service dependent)

Main management features:

  • Cyclic test reports. If the test report fails the surveillance software warns the user.
  • AC power and battery backup status report by system units.
  • Endpoint CiD3 radio transmitters have direct connection to the telephone communicator of the alarm panels. CiD3 emulates traditional telephone line but the messages will be transmitted through the more secure radio network. Compatible with all kind of alarm panels.
  • Most of the DRR-REP repeater parameters can be monitored and modified remotely. Compact, sabotage proof design. The log can store up to 8000 different events. These events of the previous days can be reviewed.
  • Up to four independent reception points in a single radio network (Security, emergency, fire alarm and industrial)

Economy reasons:

  • Diracom radio monitoring system can be flexibly set according to the purpose of usage. Even a 20km radius can be covered by a single receiver which latter can be enlarged to an entire city using tens of repeaters providing multiple services simultaneously (Security, emergency, fire alarm)
  • Flexible costs according to the size of the system.
  • Encrypted radio communication, anti- wiretapping and anti-jamming.
  • Finally, the main economic reason of using Diracom radio is the zero communication cost (Concerning traditional and GSM telephone systems the costs are service provider dependent). This reason provide the manager of the system an outstanding marketing advantage in the covered area.
